Enter the Dragon (1973)

enter the dragonHappy Chinese New Year from Alcohollywood! In honor of the Year of the Dragon, we decided to watch (and drink to) the seminal 1970s kung-fu flick Enter the Dragon. Bruce Lee’s iconic film showcases his incredible martial arts prowess, a groovy score by Lalo (“Mission Impossible”) Schifrin, and a sweet afro from Jim Kelly. Horror-movie mainstay John Saxon also stars. Also, a snake. Come check out our custom drink and rules, and listen to the podcast below!

THIS EPISODE’S DRINK: Enter the Dragonberry

enter the dragon cocktail1 part Bacardi Dragon Berry rum

1 part Sour Apple Pucker

splash Midori

1 part Lemon seltzer water

Pickled jalapeno

Muddle jalapeno in shaker. Add Dragon Berry rum, Pucker and Midori; shake. Pour over ice. Add fortune cookie for garnish (if desired.)

 

DRINKING RULES FOR ENTER THE DRAGON:

  1. When the camera zooms in or out
  2. When Bruce Lee does his signature high-pitched screech
  3. Critters (i.e. drink anytime an animal is featured)

FINISH YOUR DRINK WHEN:

Williams (Jim Kelly) says, “Man, you just walked straight out of a comic book.”
