wWAxQHG“Hello, listener. I wanna play a game.

All your life, you’ve wanted a custom cocktail and drinking game to one of the more insane entries to the Saw series.

Today, this opportunity will be given to you.

Clint and Jared of Alcohollywood (along with returning guest Dusty Wilson of Mercy Street Theatre Company) continue their month-long exploration of the third entry in a number of horror series with Saw III, in which Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) offers another series of karmic rust traps for yet another group of ungrateful, hapless protagonists. You will listen to this episode, watch the film and enjoy their drink. If you do not, you will… well, just miss out on a really fun dissection of a bat shit-crazy torture porn flick.

Drink or don’t; make your choice.”

THIS EPISODE’S DRINK: The Pigsaw

saw iii cocktailInspired by the pig-mask worn by Amanda, and the maggot-pig trap, we decided to throw a bit of bacon in our dark, savory drink for Saw III; we infused bacon with bourbon (Be sure to listen to the podcast, as Jared has some tips for how to infuse your booze with bacon.), and threw in some caramel-y honey and fall flavors in the meticulous fashion befitting a Jigsaw trap.

2 parts bacon-infused bourbon
1 part spiced rum
4 parts apple juice
1 part lemon juice
1 tbsp pumpkin butter
coarse sea salt
caramel syrup

1) Combine bourbon, rum, juices and butter into a shaker; combine.
2) Line the rim of a goblet of your choice with the salt and caramel.
3) Pour drink into goblet; enjoy!

DRINKING RULES FOR SAW III:

  1. Whenever a character says “game” or “test” (player’s choice)
  2. Every time there’s an epileptic montage
  3. Any time a grown man cries

FINISH YOUR DRINK WHEN:

Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) shouts, “You’re not Jigsaw, bitch! You’re nothing!”

Join us next week as we watch Sam Neill bring about the Apocalypse in The Omen III: The Final Conflict!
